gas gauge allways read full

My gas gauge read full at all times. Has anyone had this happen to them, and if so, whats the reason why its doing this???

gas guage will read a little past full if there is a break in the wiring between the sender in the tank and the guage.

senders in the tank have been known to fail too.

this has hapened to me twice since ive had my car. both timesit was caused by the needle getting stuck behind the trim around the gauges. i just took of the clear plastic cover and unstuck the needle

stuck needle

My temp needle was stuck and annoyed me for the longest time. I finally took some clear plastic tubing and cut a very small piece and stuck right in there. The needle will hit and bounce right back to normal like it should. The little tube is not noticeable at all and works great.

my gas gauge is stuck straight up aswell, and its not caught. is it an in take problem? or is it a wire thats known to break?
