Superram runner cost FYI...
Hey all.
I bought an SR upper (from vernw, great guy!) and contacted both Lingenfelter and Accel concerning runner availability. Lingenfelter told me that Accel won't sell the runners separately, while Accel told me that they run $499. Just posting this in case someone does what I am trying to do, that is piece together a Superram. At this rate I might go carb and swap out every other year for the PRK smog shuffle
K
PS Of course, if anyone is looking to part out a Superram, by all means let me know

SOrry to hear you're having such a hard time finding the runners. Might keep a close eye on eBay, you never know what's going to show up there......

why not buy some cheap SLP's.. cut them directly in half.. and have a plate welded on top you can bolt them to the SR plenum?
hell or even stock runners..
thats pretty much all the super ram runners are anyways.. their accel runners chopped in half..

No probbo.
Thanks Vern. I will be checking in on Ebay perennially, heh.
Fevre: I bought just the upper (from vernw in excellent shape btw) and want to piece the setup together. Time will tell.
If nothing else I can buy the runners for $500 and still be $150 or so under the full Accel price once I figure in an Accel lower off Ebay. I see THOSE all the time. Worst to worst I could rering the old L98 so that it runs clean, carb/miniram the fast-approaching 383, and crack out the lift every other year. If you've done it once, you've done it a hundred times
K
PS Just caught your post KiLLJ0Y. Good idea, as long as the cut (and attendant plate attachment) is measured perfectly well in advance. Although thinking back I think the tubes won't line up at the upper, since they are "gathered" as they come up to that midpoint. I'll wrap my brain around it when I get home. Thanks for the tip in any case.

Maybe someone could post the dimensions of their superram parts? What is the centerline radius of the runners for the superram and what is the tubing diameter?
If someone could give me these measurements and the shape of the flanges I could make these fairly cheap.

Hey rgauder.
I replied to your PM. If enough people are interested I'm in as well. I can't believe $500 when the kit runs a couple bills more. Then again, they might not be getting the call for SR parts these days.
