this is not exactly "way out there" but I find it interesting that it resembles a paintjob I would see on a Rustang:

Yeah - he does pretty well in it too. Last year at Maple grove he made it to the quarter finals. I had some fun working on it with him. What's his partners name? I probably know him too.
You also probably know Carl Miller (the blue/yellow Corvette comp car EA 1055), and Craig Trabucco (Another corvette, but he hasn't raced it in a few years...).

just to keep this 3rdgen related for the moderators!!

it's not over the top, most have seen it, and while i don't think it's the best color it does have initial appeal......plus the hood idea is cool.

I hate the goofy hood deal, and you'll never see my car that color, but that is truely an amazing car just the same. The body on that car is amazing. All of the seams are perfect, etc. Beautiful interior, great stereo, and twin superchargers under the hood.

That abombination I posted is back in town, so hopefully I'll get a chance to take some pics of the cow-print interior.

Ask Wraith. he's got them on his car. The ones in the car I posted look horrible (not that I'm a fan of wraith's either). They look like a set of blackouts that had the corvette lights mounted in them. If I ever hit my head hard enough to want to do that to my car, I'd at least do it like in that star-trek car. At least that looks like a professional conversion instead of slapping a couple headlight covers into the stock locations.

That blue mess with the mustang badges is in my town. A couple of those shots look like the ones i took, but someone else may have gotten them a long time ago...

You should see the up close of the INSIDE of that thing. Console plate and dash plastic are the same Yellow. (dont get me wrong, painted accents can look nice, but this guy went overkill...). HE has the Pep- Boys- Special seat belt guards.

The scoop on that hood is rivited or bolted down in plain site, and you can see everything.

BTW, that POS is for sale now

the problem is, i can't retain the stock iroc spoiler if i want to blend them into the car. And i'm just not a big fan of aftermarket wings, or the 91/92 z wing.

and for the record, i got mine off ebay, but the only place i know of that you can buy them is motion in long island.

well Believe it or not it is in fact a 3rd Gen F Body. hand out the change for the base kit and fork over an extry arm or two and you'll get the kick @$$ scissor doors. This kit even goes into the interior and replaces stuff that you wouldn't even think of. They really put some time into this and of course you and I have to pay for their attention to detail haha but hey it definately catches my eye

I personally like the reverse opening hood. I have the heritage package and it shows off the stripes very well. I just haven't gotten to the point of doing it yet but I will.

That Star Trek car has flip plates - that would be cool (if your car didn't look so original).

Was that remark about the reverse doors a tongue in cheek? I was considering that w/ shaved door handles .... opinions?

Jett- if you wanna pay for your F-body to look like a rice car- sell it and go buy a Honda. Don't get me wrong I like some kits on our cars but that just doesn't look right to me. If you wanna spend seven grand to get a rice look just buy a rice car, just don't lose the F-bod you'll regrett it later.

91teal you can post your opinions dude just don't start a flame war- not becoming of a moderator
