I crated a set of 461's with 2x4 framework, weghed 112lbs, I'd guess the 416's would be pretty close as well.

Cast? Do you mean "cast iron" or "cast aluminum"?

A bare '993 cast iron head weighs 46.2 lbs. That's with no valves, springs, studs, retainers, bolts, sensors, etc. - just the bare casting.

A "fully-prepped" head weighs in at 61.4 lbs. That's over 15 lbs, of rockers, *****, studs, nuts, valves, springs, retainers, keepers - everything but the 17 head bolts.

Incidentally, the same '993 head after bowl and runner porting, chamber polishing, port matching, and core shift/mold flash cleanup weighs in at 42.8 lbs. That's 3.4 pounds of unnecessary iron that only inhibits flow...

I would imagine that since the '041 heads are presumed to be a better casting, they might start out a little lighter.

Thanks for the replies. Yes they are cast iron and complete. I will base the quote on 120lbs and that should be close.
