Cheap Convertible Project

I looked around the forums and found the Classifieds! After I registered... I found this may be a better place for my subject! I live in East Central Indiana and I have restored several 60's MuscleCars. I have recently lost my drivers license and need to score fast cash! I am surfing the internet daily posting ads for my cars, in hopes a buyer will be reading! I need to sell my 1989 Camaro Iroc Z Convertible, 305ci, AT, AC, PW, PDL, 16" Factory Alloys, Black Ext, Blk Top, Red Int, 100K miles, Asking $2000 or best offer!!! Runs and Drives, Cash Offers Only! E-mail Chad familygoats@msn.com I have pictures posted on my site The MuscleCar Website

Yes it can be delivered, though I will not personally... there is a company that will! I doubt you said that in anyway serious but yes for additional costs it can be delivered!

Geez sure wish I could drive...

Your wrong about those wheels... they are listed in the options. 1989 RPO's proved the rims are original... it's unfortunate that Chevrolet slacks off on the documents to these cars...

PMD was right on track when PHS Documents were made available... and why do I still have this car? It's a decent #1FP87 Camaro IROC-Z Sport Coupe Conv 1 of 3,940 made... New was $18,945... It will be advertised in the Indiana books next week... The price has now been raised...
$3000 Firm... non negotiable... no-trades... CASH ONLY!!!

Kelley BB says: 1989 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z Convertible 2D

Consumer Rated Condition: Fair
"Fair" condition means that the vehicle probably has some mechanical or cosmetic defects, but is still in safe running condition. The paint, body and/or interior need work to be performed by a professional in order to be sold. The tires need to be replaced. There may be some repairable rust damage. The value of cars in this category may vary widely. A clean title history is assumed. Even after significant reconditioning this vehicle may not qualify for the Blue Book Suggested Retail value.

Private Party Value $3,275
Private Party value represents what you might expect to pay for a used car when purchasing from a private party. It may also represent the value you might expect to receive when selling your own used car to another private party.

No you are wrong those rims were only available from 91 to 92. They can be found on at least half of the 91-92 RS camaro's. And all Zs from 91-92 have them. You do not have the original rims. I just wanted to inform you.

You guys floor me... Am I on another Canadian Board here... because you know us Americans Blame the Canadians... jokingly anyways!!!The car is cheap enough that I take every negative comment insultive... you guys have gotta find something else to talk about... buy the car, then put it back to the way you think it should be... the cars original #'s matching and none the less with any wheel... worth every penny... I am not impressed by a know it all... especially one's as rude as a few of you have been... reminds me of "vette" people... uptight and too good... I have a rare car and any Camaro lover would be as proud as I am to own it!!!

No hard feelings... No Pun intended!!!

It sounds to me like someone upgraded the wheels from the 15" iones that came with it to the 91-92 style....

16" wheels in the same size did come on the IROCs of the same year, just they looked different than the 91-92 style that are on the car now...I'm sure it won't make a difference to the buyer though as both are of about equal value.

either way, it looks like it's well worth it from what I can see....you cant find any convertable camaro/firebird around here for that price...much less one that is in decent shape...

Very nice looking car by the way(I would be all over it if it was a Firebird). However this is not an auction site. First you advertise for 2000 obo and now its 3000 firm within a few days? Is there a bidding war going on? Since you already displayed first that you could go lower than 2K, why would some feel comfortable paying over three knowing this? Still a good price but you should have said 3 to begin with. Good luck anyways.

As I failed to mention before... the car is in the Paintshop getting a facelift this weekend... I also invested in some other odds and ends to bring the car back up to par... that's why the price jumped... It will be in the Indiana,MichiganOhio,Illinois Auto Books next weekend! I just recently sold my 89' T-Top Firebird through the same book on it's first day for $1200... Now the Iroc will be next to go!

Ya know - If you would have replied earlier, you could have sold the car already. My friend was willing to pay your FIRST asking price.

Honestly though - For an '89 L03 car, $3k is a LOT. Ugh.
