Very nice, new carpet always livens up the interior . The carpet in my car isn't very old, installed for 2 years but only driven the car for 4 months, but my heater core went and now look at it . Treat your new carpet kindly, lol.

You have ACC carpet?

For 2 years old it looks quit looks quite ragged and faded even on the drivers side where the antifreeze probably didnt reach.

I know my 2 year old ACC carpet looks like CRAP already. Car is stored out of sun and hardly driven except on weekends. Im looking for some quality carpet this time... jsut havent found any.

I spot a build sheet!!!!!!!
Yea, that didn't surprise me, the car was completly orginal when I got it. I have the VIN sticker on all panels, rpo sticker in the console, door stickers, under hood stickers, and now a build sheet. I wan't to get all the stickers reproduced before I paint under the hood and door jams, the next paint job.

I have a layer of the peal and seal stuff under the passenger area, some fiberglass insulation under carpet under the seats, and some space blanket looking stuff used for duct insulation under the storage area. I also undercoated the spair tire area. Once I get my headliner material in this week and sound prof the sides, she will be quiter. Now when I drive it I can listen to the radio at a normal level, not turned up way to high.

If my carpet looks like this in 2 years I will be mad, my 14 year old factory carpet looked alot better than that. The rear carpet looked almost new except for a few grease stains (firebirds are not used to go pic up heads from a machine shop, dhoooo.) And the passagner carpet was reall good up till about 3 years ago and then started fadeing badly. What have you been using to clean the carpet? Does anyone know what ACC recomends to clean it.

The carpet is actually from 1aauto. The quality is pretty good there is no fading. The drivers area looks faded because i had floor mats covering it and it's still perfectly clean. In the car it looked real good, but when i took it out i was suprised how filthy it was. I plan on giving it a good cleaning before i put it all back together. I use turtle wax carpet cleaner on it, it didnt' fade it, seemed to work well but the coolant stains are still there so i need to do something else i guess. I was thinking about using a real carpet cleaner but i'm not sure how it'll hold up to it.

Here's an in Car Pic

Yea my carpet is ACC and its from 1aauto, it went int straghtforward. The only problems I had was the padding over where I had to cut the seatbelt bolt holes, that padding took about 5 min to cut through, my razor had dulled from all the insulation I cut with it.

Aviator857, what color is that carpet? It looks darker than the regular GM gray. I've got the graphite seats (which is the color yours appear to be in the pics) and it seems that your carpet goes well with the seats.

its cutpile - 877 Dove Gray its from 1aauto.com and its an ACC carpet. yea, I don't think its the factory color but im not worried about keeping the factory interior colors exact.

And yes its graphite seats not the ones I wanted but I got them for $100 + shipping but it wasn't a bad buy.

Rent a steam cleaner and do it, it will hold up fine, and gets alot of crap out.

Yea, I would recomend the steam cleaner for the antifreeze. I will probably steam mine ever coulple of years to keep it looking new. I had the carpet for over half a year, I just have had time to install and the subframe intall and newer seats prompted me to do it. I should have the head liner material in on friday, now all I need is to swing a paint job and a new engine then nothing one my car would have more than 20k on it. :-)
