New to site. Attached pic of my Z.
Hello Everyone. To start out I want to say this is a great site. I have found more answers to my car related questions here then anywhere else (especially on prom burning). I am always reading here so I decided to finally register.
Some of you might recognize my car. I have seen it posted in certain threads here and before I purchased the car it was featured in the July 2000 issue of GM HighTech.
Just thought I would introduce myself and show you my ride.
Later.

I am in the process of pulling the motor this winter.
Early this summer I ran 12.7 at 115 on street tires and a crappy tune with this setup.
ZZ4 Block
TPIS cam - ZZ409
TPIS Mini Ram
SLP 1 3/4 Coated Headers
24lb injectors
TFS Twisted Wedge Heads (I am going to sell these) Ported and Polished and milled to 64cc.
Comp 1.6 RR's.
3" exhaust back to Dynomax UltraFlow, Single in/out 3".
6spd
I am in the process of buying parts for a new motor. This spring/summer I will have new times hopefully with slicks or drag radials.

I bought it almost two years ago. The owner wanted to pay off some debt and he was turning his attention to his vette. At the time I just sold my Ram Air TA and was looking to get something cheaper and I liked the 3rd gen style. So I went to Louisiana bought the car and drove it back 500 miles.
I don't know who Guido is unless that was the former owners nickname.

Yeah Zebra was his screen name. Actually that is the best pic I got right now which came from the magazine. The car sat most of the summer and I didn't have a digital camera until recently. This spring I will have all new pics with all the updates.
The front end is getting repainted.
I have ebony leather out of 2000 TA going in.
New carpet, new leather door panels.
New motor, etc, etc, etc.
I will try to take progress pictures as I go.

Hey Zbra, your vette is looking sweet! Glad to see you still go it.
Anyway to respond to an earlier queston, the motor is coming out because I had a ring go bad, plus I got my hands on some good parts .

I tried to get ZBRA to keep the car, but I think he was just ready for change. I'm glad it made it to somebody who will keep taking care of the car. That is a sweet one.
Hey ZBRA, long time no hear/see!! Stop by work sometime, were actually in a new location!
