Russell Perf. Braided Brake Lines...
I just wanted to pass around my bad experince here on the boards.
Back in early January the body-to-axle braided brake line on my car snapped (Russell uses a cheap brass T-fitting that breaks EASILY). Fortunately it occured in my driveway, so when the brakes went mush I was barely moving. Had it happened the night before it could have been serious as I was driving in heavy rain on a major fwy here in Los Angeles.
I contacted Russell and got a quick reply from their Director of Sales. She appologized for the part failure, asked me to submit my broken line for their R&D dept., and stated she would send me a replacement.
I also informed her that 2 other people from this site (Tom K. and Lonsal) had similar failures with their Russell lines. She then asked me to submit all 3 lines and said 3 replacemnts would be sent to me.
It is now almost 6 months later and I still have no replacements. Whenever I e-mail the woman at Russell, I get "I'm sorry for the dealy, the lines will ship this week". Then another month goes by with no follow-thru.
Her latest excuse is that she didn't have my mailing address . She's basically making excuses at this point and in my opinion their legal dept. is probably hoping that I go away.
I'm done buying ANY Russell Perf. products and I'd like to encourage EVERYONE on this site to do the same.

GREAT!!!!! Now that I just got a set......
Rob, it's the back one on the axle that gives the problems. I'm thinking of just calling Earl's and ordering that single line from them.
