Head Light Motors???
Head Light Motors???
Does anyone know of a place to buy a headlight motor from other than GM? Don't they run for around $200 at GM? Also, can someone link me to the article someone wrote on them about repairing them, instead of replacing them.
Re-Build the ones you got
Search for Rodney Dickmans Fiero's or something like that. He has rebuild kits which are just little round plastic pieces. He sells them for about 7 or 8 bucks a pair. If I were you I would buy two sets that way you can always repair the ones you have. I did it several times cause I have two Firebirds. after a while you get good at it.
or you can do the quick and dirty fix and never have to worry about the popup headlights again.
unplug the electrical connector from each headlight motor, then turn adjusting **** to raise each headlight. headlights will now remain permanetly in the up position.
