Please help--PIC inside
Where does this wire go? One end is bolted to the firewall, where does the other end go? It looks to be a braided copper wire w/o any insulation.
Thanks
Thanks

thank you guys. it would be ok to ground it to the manifold right, or does it have to go to the back of the head?
yep thats what it is. look for some other ground staps on the back of the head. Mine has 3 or 4 attched to the same spot. I'll tell you it is not easy to get those back on when you forget to put them back after the new heads go on.

All the wire does I think is ground the firewall. I would hook it up to the motor. And your other problem is weird. It may be a bad ground or an open somewhere. By the way in the other pic, I didn't see your tach needle, where you on the gas? gl

you allready know by now that that is a groud strap so you dont need me to tell you. The ground srap on my car has'nt been hooked up in 100 miles and everything works fine. maybe i should hook it up so my wires dont catch fire

In fact, it is a worthwhile mod to take a battery cable and attach it from the engine to the fenderwell in order to provide a GOOD PERMANENT ground
