the BBQ.
Looks like the pump is dead in my tranny. I'm pullin' it out, getting it rebuilt, well, pump replaced, filter, torque converter, and of course the fluid. There was no metal in the pan, good sign.
Anyways, I might make it, I might not, depends how fast I get this tranny out, fixed, and back in. I'll try to keep you guys posted.
See ya.

Check it out....
*** Note - We will be sticking with the orginal date of 9/21/02 ***
Okies folks,
As Mark was hinting to, we have been presented with another option. Our group has been invited to the local MAFBA picnic, witchi s set up for Sunday, September 22 @ Downs park in pasadena,MD, starting at 12pm. It seems like a great idea to me, and seeing as we already were thinking about doing ours on saturday, we could just combine with thier's. However, I know some of us have to work weekends from time to time, so we need to figure out if this is something we would be able to do as a group. Here's the link to the post on MAFBA:
http://www.ws6zxr.com/showthread.php...1849#post71849
I think they also posted it on CZ28.com, LS1tech.com, LS1.com, and EFA.com. Poorboy has mentioned that he knows most all of the folks attending, and they are all cool.
So, what we need at this point is for the folks who are attending our gathering to post and let us know wether they would be able to make it to this instead. Also, feelings on this? They are expecting around 30 or so cars, and it seems like the park is nice and big. From what I hear, they have car shows there from time to time, so there should be plenty of room.
Okies, it's time to post up folks, thoughts on this and wether it is a possibility. If we can't get most everyone on board with this, then we will stick with our original plan, we just need to figure this out soon so I can nail down a park.

Yeppirs, we still need to nail down a place, I will be checking out some of the local parks this weekend to start figuring out which one would best for our needs.

It was great to meet you saturday. Even if the car is not complete in time, you should still try to come on down and hang out & meet the group.

Hey Erik, it sounds like it would be a cool gathering! I would be able to check out peoples cars that actually resemble mine! I am talking about all of my "*****" friends! Well, my good friends respect our cars because they know whats up, lol! That would be great if you could help me with the prom work. If it is as easy as you say it is i just might try that first instead of getting the Ed Wright chip. We'll see. About the wheels, i really wasn't going to mount them up until the motor was done because you saw my driveway, there is barely enough room as it is. I wouldn't want them to get damaged. If i get a chance i will put the wheels on and take a picture for you. I will try to post it or maybe e-mail it to you. I am not good at posting images at all. Well, i'll talk to you later-Bryan

Okies folks, after tirelessly checking out park after park
, I think we have a winner.
I am just waiting for final approval from the ranger, and I shoud know for sure tomorrow. Here's a quick peek:
http://www.homestead.com/northpointstatepark/
After talking with the ranger today, he said we would probably be best suited in lot A, as most folks park in lot B. Both lots would work, A is very big, and has tables adjacent to it. B is also big, but most people park down there as it is close to the water. The other thing with B is that tables are a little bit aways, maybe 1/10 a mile or so. There is a fishing pier, swimming area, as well as a bunch of trails. The park actually sits where an amusement park was once built, around 1906 I think. Some of the old amusement park has been restored and still remains.
Anyways, it is located in Edgemere, MD, just off I-695 exit 43 if you are coming from the south, and 42 if you are coming from the north.
Here's the directions:
From Northern MD:
695 South Exit 42 - North Point Blvd./Sparrows Point. Bear right onto 151 South -- North Point Blvd. First left (Edgemere/Ft. Howard) onto North Point Rd. (into edgemere) you will pass a wawa on the left, then sparrows point HS on the left, stay LEFT at the fork in the road, strait for about a 1/2 mile, park entrance is on left. (bay shore road)
From Southern MD/VA/DC area
(I-95N to I 695 East)
I95 North Exit 43 -- Sparrows Point. Left (at ramp) onto Rte 158 -Bethlehem Blvd towards Edgemere/Fort Howard. Proceed to traffic light at North Point Blvd. Straight through the light onto North Point Rd. onto North Point Rd. (into edgemere) you will pass a wawa on the left, then sparrows point HS on the left, stay LEFT at the fork in the road, strait for about a 1/2 mile, park entrance is on left. (bay shore road)
I attached a few pics as I was there a little bit ago (30 minutes?)

did patapsco state park idea get throwed out? I thought that would be a good middle for everybody to meet at. Its the nicest park in the baltimore area. Its just a suggestion. Whereever it may be, i'll still go and we'll all have a good time.
