Problem with Headlights on IROC-Z
I am having a problem with the headlights on my 1985 IROC-Z and am wondering if anyone else out there has had any similiar problem and could help me out. Here goes:
My headlights work fine on low beam, but if I turn on the high-beams, they work for probably a minute or two, I'm not exactly sure how long, but then they start flashing on and off. When I switch back to the low-beams, they are fine. I also have the exact same problem when I turn on the factory foglights. The headlights are the only lights that flash. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like your high beam switch is on it's death bed. Switching your headlamps to 'high' causes the fog lamps to turn off as well (trivia for the brain).
The high/low switch is located under the dash on the steering column to the left (as sitting in the drivers seat) in roughly the 10'o'clock position. 2 hex screws hold it to the column, remove & replace, that's about it.

Not a problem bud... you'll have to take the plastic 'hush' panel off to see it though. Depending on how nimble you are, sometimes it's easier to drop the column to reach it (an extra trim piece and 2 nuts..)
And no I didn't... I just quit putting my camaro back together a long while back
