Two exterior light problems - Please help

Hello all,

I have a 1985 IROC-Z, basically rebuilt from the ground up. The previous owners were less than meticulous about their work; I've had a lot of wiring issues crop up before, some caused by them and some just from age.

Anyway, I posted previously that I'm thinking of doing some light upgrades so today I wanted to go out and make sure everything is working as its supposed to. Of course, I immediately ran into two problems:

* The side marker lights on the front don't come on. Ever. I'm almost positive they used to, as I've already replaced these lenses with a smoked on, and put LED bulbs in...it's been awhile, but I'm almost certain I would have checked them after installing. I'm going to have to do some troubleshooting, but my simple question: should these lights only come on when the headlights are on? They aren't turn signals, right?

* When just the low beams are on, both headlights work fine. When I turn the high beams on, both of those work fine, too - but the passenger side low beam then turns off. I checked five times just to make sure, and every time the low beam worked by itself but then shut off when the high beam came on. Any thoughts?

Okay, I figured out the marker lights; I read about the reverse polarity thing of the LED's so I took them out and put the normal bulbs back in. Everything works fine. Still have the issue with the headlight, though.

Replace the low beam lamp on that side.

The low beam lamp contains two filaments. One for low beam and one for high beam. The high beam filament is burned out.

I know this is a little off topic, and I agree with the above mentioned "replace low beam lamp" , but I recently bought a harness that is a great solution to allot of headlight wiring harness gremlins. It basically is a new harness that takes the load of your headlights off of the headlight switch, and makes everything run through a relay. Takes all of 15 minutes to install and works like a champ. Found it on Ebay here >>> http://www.ebay.com/itm/330974040114?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
