Check Out My Plan

Here is what I have on TAP for the SBC 400 thats still in the planning phase. I'm thinking about 500hp-500tq. I there is something that you think that needs to be done that can improve my engine feel free to do so. This will be in my 84 Camaro high performance street car that might see the track 6x a year.

Displacement: 412.67

compression: 10.58:1

compression ratio calculator

Dont ya think that Holley 750 will be a tad bit too small?

Especially with a 110 LSA and 412 cubes...
just a thought

BTW- what do the AFR heads flow? or are they untouched from AFR?

Displacement is a 406, you thinking a .060 over block will give you a 412cu. I'm going .030 over.
Bore 4.155 Stroke: 3.750= 406 cu

ENTER YOUR DATA calculated data
Cylinder Head Volume (cc) 74 Cylinder Head Vol (cubic in.) 04.514
Piston Head Volume (cc) 5.4 Piston Head Vol (cubic in.) 00.329
Gasket Thickness (in.) .039 Swept Volume (cubic in.) 50.847
Gasket Bore (in.) 4.200 T.D.C. Volume (cubic in.) 05.384
Cylinder Bore Diameter (in.)4.155 Gasket Volume (cubic in.) 00.540
Deck Clearance (in.) Note: Neg. nubmer above deck, Pos. number below deck Deck Volume (cubic in.) 00.000
Stroke (in.) 3.750
COMPRESSION RATIO 10.445
This will be a 406 and dont know how you came up with the 412..

Here try this:

4.155 before or after the 0.030" pistons?

if after..... then add 0.030" too that........ 406.77 cid + .030" = 412

You didnt specify.....wether your current displacement included the 30 over pistons or not.......
