ECM Bench
Got one of Saturn 5's ECM benchs yesterday, and applied power and a scanner to it today.
Works neat.
IF your the type that wants real answers instead of opinions, and poor guesses, as answers, you'll need to get one, just a matter of when.
While you can't iron out everything ahead of time when doing patchs, you can sure as heck catch alot of the simple brain fade errors. And it's much better to do it on the bench, then with the engine. BTDT.
And even with the faster scanners, they still can ocassionally miss an event and with a bench you can play at try generating the bad situation, rather then trying to catch it with driving around all day.
Wanna make sure about DCs?
Even at cold temps in the summer? fire up the bench.
While not SEFI compatible, for the 730/749 they make life ALOT easier.
BUT, it's only for folks that really want to know what's going on. If you perfer guessing, please don't get one. LOL
BTW, good job, Bob!.
Just wish we had more guys like you in the community..

We need to fire up a WB, do a data log, and play with the Romulator RT on yours. Well, once you get the hoses fixed.....
Just to see, on an all new calibration, how many datalogs it takes to get the tables really close.
Not to mention the AE stuff < G >.

The WB is up and running.. I just need to run a output from it to the ECM. I have already have added Dig's patch.
