you just showed me what I want in a thirdgen. If I had the money I would build something like that but funds barely allow me to keep my 84 going.

Yea I know what ya mean, it's not cheap doing everything I've done to it. But, it was worth it!
No track times yet, but the best street race I've had so far was putting 6 - 7 links on a 2002 Z06. (Red light race to 120 - 130 mph.)

The strut tower brace made a decent improvement. It's a Hotchkis Signiture Series brace that Hotchkis powder coated in Gun-metal metalic.
Carpet - noticed I said pic of "dusty" interior. I haven't vacuumed the car or cleaned the interior in a while. I've been more concerned with tuning the car. You can also see that the passenger side lower dash panel is removed (frequent PROM changes and high traffic) so I will end up cleaning the interior when I'm done tuning. But yes, the interior is pretty dusty at this time, but it cleans up nice.
Here's a bad pic (oops no flash) of the tach lit up (Lunar series Autometer).
Image removed- Three uploaded pics per thread.

It's nice to see that some people appreciate the Z as much as I do! I've spent going on 4 years of time and way too much money restoring and building this car. Finally starting to enjoy my efforts!

No numbers yet, but I'm figuring ~400+ hp and ~450 ft. lbs at the flywheel. I have more tuning and some little things to fix on it before I dyno it.
Bad pic of rear (too much sunlight) and rear lights look fake!
But you get the idea.

Very nice ride man. I like it a lot! I love the color of the ST Brace too. Mind giving an estimate of how much it would cost for one to purchase one similar? lol IMO it looks better than the polished one! Then again everything in the engine bay should match so..whatever works i guess. later man PS, i too am waiting for your "times" so to speak, but i will not demand them like others!

The strut tower brace is a Hotchkis "signiture series" STB. They don't offer it anymore. They still have all the other suspension stuff available in Sig. Series (Gun-metal metalic with different stickers), but they currently only offer the STB in black or red. Maybe you could sweet talk Hotchkis into making you a Signiture series brace by offering a little more dough than what the red or black brace costs. Good luck!

Thats always an idea. After all, money is what makes the world go round! They would probally try to rape me though. I guess buying either a black or red one and having it powder coated is my best bet. thanks for the help
Did you just remove your fog lamps and left the cable that connects the bulbs into them? or what?
both of my fog lamps are busted in my 91z. so i'm driving around w/ two fog lamps w/ no lenses. *trashy looking
* anyways... i'm wondering if you just got rid of the entire setup or left the wire for future lamps if you change your mind?

I was driving by and I saw this guy looking at his Z28 or Iroc pissed off because his car just shut off on him so I helped him push it. He was so pissed off he wanted to sell for $2000.00. Brand new paint job 350 engine looks exactly like yours, but the engine is heavily moded out msd everywhere edelbrock even has a roll bar. the enterior is mint. sheesh the car is mint . but he does not know a thing about cars.

Yes, I did remove the fog lights because the were old and trashy looking. I left the wiring because one day I may find some lights that look good.
Exhaust - I bought the long-tube headers from hooker, the y-pipe from Mufflex, the cat from a local exhaust shop and from the cat back, is the remainder of a flowmaster cat-back that I put on the car when it still had the stock motor. I dropped off all the parts to my exhaust shop and I drove the car up there (open header)
and then the guys put the rest on.
dsaint1347 - buy that guy's car! Sounds like a steal for $2,000!

Thanks! Hard work does pay off!
It's taken me almost 4 years to build this car to the point it is at now. When I bought it, it was a PILE!! Horrible factory paint (clear coat diminishing with the paint), interior trashed (sagging headliner, ripped factory seats), really bad oil leaks, exhaust leaks, slipping automatic tranny, AC leaks, ground effects all scraped up, it needed brakes, needed tires............the list went on and on! I bought it because the body was straight and it was a factory 350ci (L98) Z-28 that was fully loaded. The only options that the car didn't come with was T-tops and leather, but it had EVERYTHING else! Almost four years and SEVERAL 1,000 dollars later, it is what it is today.
The point is, time and money can fix almost anything and patience is a virtue.

If I take a side view pic of the car, can one of you guys please photoshop a set of silver Zr-1's on it?
Thanks,
Mike

Yes, it's a sticker that fits perfectly over that raised square that originally showed the 5 speed pattern.
I make and sell the stickers in blk w/white lettering and in blk w/yellow lettering.

That sucks about the deer! I've hit one in my truck before doing about 60mph! It tore up the bumper, grill, and driver side fender.
The car is not lowered at all. She still has the factory springs and shocks/struts (unfortunately). The Exhaust doesn't scrape.
Take that back, I only had the exhaust scrape once. This happened when I was doing 100 + and the road had a big dip, but (small length of road). The only thing that scraped was the passenger side header collector which is the lowest part of my whole exhaust system (and you cant get arround that when you have long tubes).
