Is that the right date? August 12 is a Tuesday.
As an aside, Jimmy Cone happens on the first and third Saturday of the month.

Should figure on getting there ~5:30. It starts to fill up pretty quick after that. I was the lone 3rd gen

I went this past Sat and all I saw was a lone IROC. I was hoping TTA 1387 was there but no luck. Oh well I'll be there on the 2nd though looking forward to seeing some of you guys there.

Lots of great cars this weekend. Especially older stock cars, I guess from the show at Damascus Chevy. Even a couple 7 sec. cars, although I never did see where the trailer was parked
I should be able to make it out on the 2nd and see 3rd gens out in force

Well,
I was hoping to make it but I am currently doing what I always seem to be doing
....
... I took my running car apart to make it faster. I sold all my supercharger parts and I am going to attempt to maximize my NA perforamance. This, of course, means a new camshaft. I'm working with Joe Overton at Lethal EFI Performance and will be running one of his cams along with some CC987 springs. Also getting my power steering back on and installing a stock-type water pump (Edelbrock Victor). Not sure when I will be done ... maybe in a month or so.
This will be the fourth cam that has been in this stock shortblock.

Tim,Tim,Tim....
I guess this means 11's N/A now? Joe is certainly getting a nice rep over at EFA. If I were to somehow get another 4th gen, I would be getting one of his cams.
Hope to see your car run again soon. I remember seeing run 12.2 or pretty close to that a couple of years ago. Might have even been before I got the TA and was still running the WS6, man that's been awhile

Yea - I haven't run in a long time ... and I am getting a lot of grief about it
But, it's hard to run something that I know isn't optimal. I picked my current cam as a dual purpose cam. I know it will run better with something else.

I'm not sure if Lethal EFI has a website or not. Lethal EFI is basically Joe Overton. AFAIK, Joe has the fastest NA LT1 in the country. Very smart, nice guy who has a lot of cam experience. I was recommended by a guy who knows Joe. I'm not sure if you could just go right to him ... maybe you could? I don't know.

Well then I'll wait till the 16th too. I'm really looking forward to seeing the TTA.
I guess I'll just have to find something else to do like installing the new intake

I would like to come out, but I don't think it's in the cards this weekend. I drove the car to work today, and have some issues after getting it all put back together.

It's possible that I MIGHT have the new cam stabbed in by then. Newest round of mods happening right now ...
1) Replace Mez electric pump with Edelbrock HiFlow Aluminum Mechanical Pump
2) Reinstall stock bracketry along with stock fast ratio power steering box
3) March Power & Amp 3-piece billet aluminum underdrive pullies
4) Comp Cams billet aluminum 3-Piece timing cover
5) Joe Overton custom grind cam
6) Comp Cams 987 springs
7) Viton valve seals
8) Dynomax UltraFlo Welded 'straight through' muffler (so long blowmaster)

TRAXION,
Hey I see you're still using a 3" catback, I thought I remember reading you were gonna use a 4" Mufflex. Do you think it's even worth going to a 4" even with your level of mods? Thanks...
BTW, I'm kinda glad you're going back to the NA route. I wanted to see how fast you can take that car without power adders. Good luck!

I have a 3" SLP cat-back now and have run a best so far of 121.x.
I think the 3" would be plenty.
All IMHO.
