found a pig problem, were do i start?

k i just got my 83 z28 about 1 month ago and ever since i got it the gauges have not worked includeing the k's on it, only the gas and bat gauge work. i figured the gauge was broke because when i first got the car the cover for the gauge and screws were all out. anyway today i got another 83 gauge (some one) and still the same thing just the gas and bat gauge work. i have no idea were to start in order to fix this problem. could someone please help me out??????

Does the temp gauge sweep when starting the car ? Does the oil stay low or is it pegged with power ?
Sould be bad senders, could be bad wiring.
Ground the temp sender wire with the ignition on and observe what happens. It should peg full hot. If it doesn't, there is a problem in the circuit. The oil gauge should do the opposite IIRC.
Do some testing and see what happens.
