Im just curious
I wanna run a sub in a stealth box in the drivers side console of the hatch. I've been debating what subwoofer to get and was just curious what everyones personal opinion here was. I was thinking of a Rockford Fosqate HE2 or HX2 with either a 351M or a 501M amp. How much wattage do we really need from a subwoofer in our cars. A friend of mine has got 2 12" Kicker Comp VR's in the trunk of his Civic but bass that loud would not be necessary. Any recommendations would be helpful. Thanks.

If you want good sound quality, I'd look elsewhere for your sub choices. I've got some Rockford HE2s in my Jimmy and they are sloppy. There are other brands with better sound quality, such as JL, Adire, Elemental Designs, Image Dynamics and a bunch of others. In terms of power... that's subjective too. If you're just running one sub, a couple hundred watts RMS should suffice.
