Looks like an 8 or 10". What's the rated stall?

I'm also looking forward to next weekend. I yanked out the TH400 and now have a powerglide in the car. It only took me a week to built it up and do the swap. The hardest part is going to be having to get used to a forward shift pattern again.

If the weather co-operates, I'd still like to get that 10 second time slip.

9", actually. Rated 2800-3200.

The Sat. Night Spec. on the left is 11", rated "800 above stock", actually stalled a tad over 2200 for me. When the tach hit 3000, it would really start pulling. So, I'm thinking/hoping this new one will stall at at least 3000 - Fellow racer has this converter behind a similarly-built 454, his stalls closer to 3200, he says.

I'm still looking for that 13-sec time slip. But, I'm pushing 3900 lbs down the 5800' elevation track, after having driven the car to the track.

Got it in and took it for a quick test drive. No doubt it gets into the power immediately now - gave it WOT twice, it was above 3500 when I looked at the tach both times (actually 4000 the first time - I didn't look quick enough).

Quantitative data to come this coming weekend. I'm making two changes, actually - the converter and new Hoosier Quicktime Pro DOT slicks. I know you're only supposed to make one change at a time, but...
