I just bought a 1986 Camaro rs. The previous owner hacked up a lot of the fuel system on the car for some reason, but for now I'm starting at the tank and working my way forward. The picture shows the fuel pump hoses( also if you see the poor quality of the tank access hole you should get a good understanding for the quality of work that the previous owner did lol) and he had two of them capped off. I am assuming one is the EVAP the other is the tank vent. You can't see it in the picture but there is a rubber hose that is not attached to anything. Can anybody shed some light on where the two capped lines have to go. Would there be any logical reason to cap these lines on a fuel injected car?
One line should goto a line that runs the the evap charcoal canister. The other line should goto a plastic tank vent valve. If both lines are capped, there must be a vented gas cap being used. Tank pressure has to go somewhere.
