TPI fuel pump info

For my own future reference.

So, if things never changed... here goes:

Stock TPI pump, rated at 12V
40GPH wide open (thats 150lph)
65-95psi shutoff pressure
current AC Delco #E3210

TTA pump, rated at 12V
50-60GPH wide open (190-227lph) dont ask.. I dunno
80-90psi shutoff pressure
current AC Delco #E3270

Car: '87 Chev
Engine: 60*V6
Transmission: DY T700
The replacement pumps I have used in the past are A/C Delco pumps from a stock '89 Vette (Have one in both my '89 truck and my '87 V6 Camaro) They have all metal internals where the others had plastic. Don't know the flow rates- just know if they work for the Vette then they are more than plenty for my uses. They have both been in for several years now with no sideeffects/problems.

Thanks for the info. Chris. This supports the literature that says the 1LE cars used a higher volume fuel pump. All that's left to do is verify the 1LE dual strainer fuel pick-up and determine if it is indeed longer in anyway, swinging...etc.
