What part is this?
I was under the car the other day installing spon lca's, and adj panhard, eibach springs and kyb shocks. When I removed the panhard I found a part above it I didn't recognize. The picture is below. What is it? What is its function? Why would the bolts on it have been loose? Thanks- Efrain

It is called the track bar brace or panhard rod brace.
The panhard bar attaches the rear axle to the car to control lateral movement of the rear axle. The brace strengthens the mounting bracket for the panhard bar.
There is no good reason for the bolts to be loose. It is not a go fast setup or anything like that. My guess is that they just came loose or perhaps some did not tighten them sufficiently when they were installed.
