I have a 305 quardjunk. 87 can I swap my heads?

I have a MASSively ported Bowtie 031 Those are the Chevy cast iron Performace heads that they sell over the counter. these are the perfornmace heads from the mid 8-'s that GM was selling over the counter.
They have 2.02 and 1.64 valves. These are the earlier versions of the vortex heads. They have a kindey shaped heads with valves in the same location as the chevy.
Will the valves hit the walls of the 305?

That depends on what intake bolts to it. If they are early VORTEC heads, then you will need a specific VORTEC manifold due to port location differences. And then again maybe those heads weren't made like that.

And you said you are running a 305, right??

You may have interference issues with a 350 head on a smaller bore 305.

Hope any of this is helpful. I would look up those specs myself, but I don't have the time right now. That's your job anyway, right...

 

Yes I have a vortex intake too.
The heads are identical to vortexs on the intake and exhaust side.
