What Should I Buy?
I have a problem and since you guys give good advice, i'd like to get some opinions before i go buying anything. I'm debating whether i should get a car that's just there to have fun in and enjoy cruising around in or if i should get a car and build it up purely for power (also very fun!) I'm thinking of getting a 4th generation Trans Am with t tops and the 500 watt monsoon sound system if i buy something for pure enjoyment and a third gen (anything) for the power. I'm only 17 so i don't know if it's a good idea for me to have anything with 350+ horsepower since i've only been driving for 7 months and i'm still a very inexperienced driver. I'm level headed though and i have nothing to prove so i don't drive like a jackass. I plan on doing this over a long period of time so money isn't really a concern of mine. I want something with a manual transmission so i'd need to do an engine swap for a third gen but as i said, this is something to do over time. What do you guys think? Something to embarrass mustangs with or something that i'll like to drive around in while it still has quite a bit of power? Help me out.

I'm 19 and I think there is nothing like having a car that you can blow majory of people away. One reason I like my camaro is when it comes to passing someone. It doesn't take forever to get up to speed. Thats always a plus. If you have something with 350 hp, you will learn to harness the power. Just cuz you have 350hp doesn't mean you have to use it all the time. By all means I don't think there is enough power. I always want more. It kinda depends on your preference if you want a newer car or a thirdgen. I would love to have a new Z28 or SS. But I can't afford it. I would say do whatever you want to do, whatever you have the money for. If you went to a thirdgen, you could do a 350 swap, and throw a T-56 along with it, that would prolly satisfy you. Or get that trans am with the LT1 and the 6 speed they are pretty fast stock, and there is more room to beef up that LT1. Just what I think, I don't know if it will help much...good luck
