Just ordered COMPLETE exhaust system for 87 5.7L GTA!
I just ordered them! Im in the "damn look where all my money went" stage. I should get this guilt out of my system in a few days
But anyways heres what i ordered:
Headers:
MAC Single Catalytic Header System 86-92 1 5/8" Headers w/ Y-pipe
http://www.macperformance.com/store/...Product_ID=449
Cat-Back:
MAC Single Catalytic Car Cat-Back Sytem w/ 3.5" Chrome Slashback Tips
http://www.macperformance.com/store/...Product_ID=452
Catalytic Converter:
Dynomax Super Converter 3in IN 3in OUT WLK-15143 from Summit
Cut-Out:
Flowtech 3" Cut-Out
http://www.spohn.net/product.cfm?productid=1467
And i even went ahead and got this!
Sub-Frame Connector:
Spohn 1982-1992 F-Body Sub-Frame Connectors (Red Coated)
http://www.spohn.net/product.cfm?productid=1309
The Headers and Cat-Back are part of the GP from Duffman, so i should be getting 20% off those 2 items.
All in all it came to about $1100.
And since its still Winter, i got plenty of time to get those headers ACS coated. So ill ship them ASAP when they are delivered.
I kepted waiting and waiting so i can get them all at the same time, and im sure my SLP CAI will work much better with an exhaust.
Ok later

that is one beautiful low mileage car. may i suggest that you try not to cut up the original exhaust when you take it off, and hold on to it? hey, it couldnt hurt, right?
well, i'm sure u'll love the new full exhaust.... its supposed to really wake the care up. on top of that, spohn sfc's really made my car tighter (but my car has something like 195,000 miles...), but even if they dont make that much of a noticeable difference, its insurance against your sail panel/roof area having stress cracks. take care!

I like the mac headers. They're right up there with the 2055's except for the way the 2 pipes "y" together. I think the hookers have a little better design there, but overall the mac's are a good set of headers. Much better than edelbrocks or hedman headers, and especially the flowtechs.

Ya im a sucker for quality. Theres no way id put a header in without coating. I may even coat the y-pipe that comes with the headers for $50, it wouldnt hurt.
Has anyone ACS coated there catback?
P.S. Cant wait for the stuff to come in!

Ya for $45 why not coat the SFC, its worth it. I checked on the cat-back and its not stainless steel. Its aluminized steel with HTS coating, so thats should be good. Besides those pipes will never touch snow, salt or rain, and the car is always garaged when not in use, so rusting will be hard to come by with my driving conditions.
