ok so i am finishing up my headers install and now i can't remember for the life of me how the 4 brackets that hold the AC and PS pump go back on. does anybody have any pics of how they go back on. please...i want to finish this up once and for all.

it gives me an idea of how it goed, my only thing is i am using the AC top bracket too, it lookas like u used the one but i'm guessing it is just as a spacer for the other brackets. idunno

 

i was looking at it again, and i DID cut the right side didn't I????

i mean if i cut the other side off it doesn't look like it would fit..the side faces us is the side that faces the block and the left side would be pointing to the back on the car.

there is a spacer to seperate the two and I believe there is a spacer that seperates from the front header/exhaust manifold bolt too.

 

so can anyone tell me if i cut that bracket wrong??

 

sorry dude, you cut the wrong part of the bracket. The other side has to be chopped off in order to clear the header pipe. The part that you did cut off would then get bolted with a spacer, then the header, and then into the block - a big sandwich. If you have access to a welding machine, weld the bracket back up. If not, your not gonna have your power steering, or if you can manage to tighten the other bolts down, it will most likely end up going loosing up over time. The same would go for the AC, because the bracket helps support the compressor. I took a few pics of my setup, I shoulda took more time looking at how much meat to take of the bracket but I was in a hurry... Its fine though and works perfect.

 

LOL, o dam, o well...i don't think i need it anyway, the AC will still have 3 bolts and it's not even hook up right now, so o well

well if i do run into problems with stuff coming loose can i get that one bracket from a parts store?? or do they come in a kit or somethin?

 

I doubt autoparts store. Junkyard, ebay etc... Save your old stuff and just weld it back together... or just figure out the dimensions and everything, and just make a new bracket... I dont know if you have the tools or capabilities for this, so your prolly better off going grave digging in the junk yard.
