Why does it do this?
Alright guys, i've noticed lately that my car doesn't seem to loose traction in first gear but as soon as i hits second the thing does major squeeling.
Today i turned out of a stop sign, and its a wide turn, i had it floored and the car didn't lose traction in first but i ended up with the rear in front of me cause it shifted to second and lost it. I dont get why it would do that the tires wern't warm i was on my break at work, it was sitting for a good 2.5 hours. The tires usually have great traction. But they lost it that time. I gotta say though it was the best thing i've ever done, it was awesome, i was pumped on addrenaline for another 2 hours.
The other day i stopped in a neighborhood and it didn't squeal in first but second the car drifted to the right. ITs awesome i knwo but why is itdoing this?

so you saying my first gear maybe a little loose but second sticks like nothing before? I could prolly make it squeal in 3rd too, this thing has so much damn torque i dunno where its coming from. I got my new buddy in the car the other day and this thing pulled harder then his 91 Z28 L98. He said my car is damn strong. He thinks its got a shift kit also, he is a engine/tranny rebuilder so he "knows" the tranny isn't messed up. But i dunno, sometimes you can be wrong.

Cars dont "grow " shift kits out of mid air.The car didnt do it before now all of a sudden it does?
Before it lost traction in first but now it dont
Now it loses traction in second.
Somethings up.
Stock 305 tpi right?
I'd take it to someone who knows tranny's and get it looked at.
Was the tranny ever serviced at all?
Im not an expert at all, just stating what i see to be obvious.

well my step-dad says he put the after market runners on and he said it appeared to have a shift kit cause the gasket was changed soon when he got it. He though it did. but....
and just think about it, the car accelerated fast enough to get into second in a left turn. Thats some power man.

heres how it happened-
i pulled up to the stop sign wating to get out. Noone would let me out for like 3 minutes, so the first chance i got i floored it. the car took opff quickly and right at the end of the turn when i starts to bring it back straight it shifted, yes i know what a shift it this thing shifted hard too. The car still had latteral force so the rear end somehow missed the curb and came in front of me. I was lucky noone hit me.
The car seems to shift very hard but the the timing of everything is correct you can feel the torque converter let loose and then grab at the correct times and everything there is no mis adjustment even though i should try the TV cable thing.
I saw the tech article on it but i never understood what todo, i cant seem to see when is needed to readjust the TV cable.

Uhm, if it had any power you'd be able to spin them in first from a dead stop.

were u driving his car when u noticed yours pulls harder? because when your in the passenger seat cars dont seem as fast
fast is when your in a twin turbo and it spools and hits its peak and you slide into the back of the seat

Wich way are you turning? L and both wheels will spin, R and just the right one will spin! Very common with open spool's! I think you'll screw up the little bitty rear end before the tranny!!
