Question 1:
My water pump is about to take a dump and I was wondering if any company made a high performance one?

Question 2:

I really havent found a true high performance one. I found one that claimed to more more gpm, but I cant really notice it.

Since you have a 90-92 that uses the 7730 ECM, nobody has made a program to read the v6 ECM. Member here "Pasky" was working on one, and I was trying to assist. Never did get one that connected properly.

You might Try www.jegs.com. They probably have what you are looking for. As for comp programs. It was rummored a few years ago that Popular Mechanice and writted several CDs that had everything anyone could ever need for car service. You might see if you can still find one

Correct - TunerPro R/T will read the .730, and modify it.

To burn chips, I'd suggest the GP1 and FnB from Moates.net!

So far as I have found, the 7302 guys are stuck using Diacom and TunerCATS. Supposedly WinALDL will work with the 2.8s, but I haven't gotten it to communicate quite yet (haven't tried very hard either, though)

'302 uses WinAldl, but you have to ignore the data coming through - it reads it fine, but screws up teh conversion.

I've been using the RAW output, and converting myself!

Airtex makes a good waterpump for our cars. The impellor is nicer than the Delco units. Its what I'm using currently and gets very good flow. I will be swapping out soon though for an electric pump (custom setup) so the motor robs less power.

I've made a .ads for a '91-'94 3.1L LH0 motor (uses the $A1 code mask on a 7730).. You can create one from the datastream definitions... Is there still not a .ads for use with 90-92 F-body V6's in TunerPro RT??? If not, I'll make one... Somebody will have to test it though, as I don't have a V6 f-body..

I have a laptop, and cord. I'll test any program you give me.

A reverse flow water pump would be nice.

The "Download ALDL Stream Definitions" at TunerPro's website (http://tunerpro.markmansur.com/) shows a definition file "1227730_v6_90-92.ads" for "1990 - 1992 V6 - 1227730 ECM, 8192 baud" cars.

How about an ADS for the 1227302 used on the 2.8L cars?

Doward has the info to do this (what variables are where in the stream and the conversion calculations).. just need to modify one of the existing 160 baud stream definitions to suit.

I took a peak at the ALDL Definition editing in TunerPro R/T. If Doward could send the data he has my way, I wouldn't mind playing around with it to see if I could get something going...

I did find a generalized stream definition in ALDLstuff.zip at ftp.diy-efi.org/pub/gmecm - file A20 in the ZIP, but I would like all the info I can get.

Already done, but the 160 baud in the current TunerPro is... flaky... at best. I already spoke with Mark about it - it'll be coming either in TunerPro 4, or shortly after, in an update.

So you mean to say that you've made a 1227302 ALDL Stream Definition and it will be available upon the next release of TunerPro?

160 baud support will be better in Tunerpro 4... I'll see if I can make a .ads for that; you can test, correct?

Correct - I've already got a .ads built of the full '302 datastream.

Yes, I can test it out.
