I've heard anywhere from 150-500 dollars... depending on the condition and whether or not a transmission is attached

 

City or town? Tow auctions can get you the whole car cheap

 

If its at all possible, try to find a 3.4l engine from a 4th gen Camaro or Firebird. You should be able to get one fairly cheap, and I think they're probably easier to find. It is a fairly straight forward swap and very well documented on the site.
