Helms Manual Question?¿

Hey guys, I am thinking about getting a Helms Manual for my GTA. I was wondering if any of you guys have them, and are they any better than the Chiltons,or Haynes manuals which go for about $30 that you can buy at the local autostore? I know they want $90 dollars for the Firebird Helms manual I need for my year. The other question is that the manual they have for my year only says for Firebird. Not for GTA or regular T/A's. Will this still have valuable info for my car?
Thanks Guys!
Mike

Well, think of it this way.

Chiltons and Haynes are the manuals they sell to do-it-yourself shadetree mechanics.

Helms are the manuals they sell to the dealerships and other garages to tell them how to service the car.

The 90 dollars is definately worth it.

Another point to ponder....300 pages of information on 10 years of cars, or 1000 pages of information on one year of a car model?

Get the Helms. Since the T/A and GTAs were really just upgraded versions of the Firebird, the book should cover everything you need to know.

I have the chiltons, haynes and helm manuals. The Helm is the best by leaps and bounds. Contact Dal at Vandevere Olds for better pricing.
