#3
So heres the specs,
90k L03,
Stock bottom end and heads (for now)
Unlimted TBI mods
TBI spacer
Edlelbrock Performer RPM intake
Compcam lifters and push rods
460"/450" lift cam shaft
MSD 6AL ignition box
MSD Blaster coil
Morso 8mm wires,
Accle distributor
Flow tech headers
Flow tech y-pipe
Flowmaster 2.50" catback
Flowmaster muffler
Electric water pump
some of this i already had on the engine,
now for the big hurdle! tuning! i got all the stuff to do it now i got to make some time,
I plan on having it dyno after i feel my tuning is right on, next mods hummm i got a rear disc 3.27 Limted slip laying on the garage floor along with tubuler LCA's and Panhard bar that might find its way under the camaro sometime.... and if everythig goes well my next step is, well you'll have to wait and see but it should Boost up the power tho

thanks!
i was thinking WorldProducts Torquer heads, maybe WPT 305 heads but the gains would be minimum to say the least, and i can fork my money on something better but if i run across some 081s then im most likely going to use them on the 305 after i fully port them, but my plans are still unchanged for right now like i said, so heads are out of the question till i get everything else set up "you'll have to wait and see but it should Boost up the performance though"

Looks like a nice combo you have there. I am really happy to hear that you will be doing the chip work. You will be incredibly happy when you are done. Don't worry if you motor barely idles as is with the stock tune. You may want to look into a better fuel pump and larger injectors. You may find that you won't have enough fuel once you get into the tuning.

You'll notice a huge difference with some gears out back. What are teh specs on that cam you put in there? I'd probably put the gears in next, then subframe connectors and a new fuel pump.

thanks 82knightrider
since i did a lot of my mods all at once its hard to say.... but i know that mpg is slightly increased, there is no power picked up, but much qucker starts and i have a rev-limiter witch really works nice

As for FP I would recommend either a Walbro 190 or 255. I personally like the 190 for TBI apps. It seems that many CAN run the 255 but I've still heard some saying pressure went up and they couldn't drop it down far enough, for that reason I'd stick with a 190 personally, My $.02

You won't see much over a properly functioning ignition system. I have good wires, a quality cap and rotor, and a MSD Blaster Coil (because I had it). I also have the MSD 6 series with the timing box. (It came from my engines carbed days, but works equally well when rewired for the later distributer). The only reason I added the MSD was for the variable timing feature. I set the initial timing with the dial set at 7.5*, I can add 7.5* timing or subtract 7.5* at a touch of a dial on the fly. Greatly helps while trying to dial in an engine. A quick touch of the dial will tell you if you need more/less timing and how much. Easy to dial in part throttle cruise timing with this. It works equally well for track runs. Bump the timing 2* at a time until it loses mph, then back off 1/2 degree at a time until it runs the fastest. It also lets me select the octane I want to run on. When I run premium I can just bump the timing up a little. While pulling a trailer it started to detonate a little on 89, I pulled a little timing. In the mountains I started to lose a little power and idle quality, a little more advance helped alot.

did you buy that piece to seal off your air cleaner from the engine compartment... or did you fabricate it yourself?
