Got a fwd engine question

Listen guys I can get my hands on a new gm 3.8 but its FWD for 1,500 and was wondering if I get a V8 tranny will the engine work out or if anyone knows where a can find a complete TTA engine OR Grand National engine. There was one in the classifieds but since it is down I cant check if its still there. please guy help me out the motor comes complete with everything except for the tranny.

Doubt it man Houston is like slim on thirdgen if i do find one it will be not working and stripped to hell in the boneyard. I need to know if the swap can be done if I get a v8 tranny and switch the bell housing.

Axle/Gears: 3.55 posi / 3.23
not sure on the bell housing, try www.firebirdv6.com for that question.

Also, I hope your good with a welder. Will need it to fab some motor mounts.

Don't forget the ecm & engine wire harness. Those motors were made for DIS & no provisions for distributors.
