Take off the bottom of the dash on the drivers side. Lie on the floor looking up under the light switch and you will see a small button. Push it while you are pulling out the switch and it should come out no problem. To get it back in just push till it clicks.

On my 92 RS, the little button was on the top of the rod. I had to stick a screwdriver in there to push it down. Good luck.

Yes. It is a metal button with a spring on it. In my experience with all my headlight switches, you need to have the lights turned on when you push the button, then pull gently.

Yeah, the button is on the rod thats connected to the ****. Pull the **** out all the way and look in there, you should be able to see it. Good luck.

i've looked at the metal rod or shaft and don't see any "button", is this noticeable with the front faceplate to the guages still in the stock location or do i have to go behind the front "cover"?

i know it sounds stupid to ask this question, my manuals are giving me the run around..........i know when i find it i'm sure i'll feel like an idiot!

alright........i finally got it!

in my case it was on the bottom of the actual switch relay, not the **** or the shaft. it was a small pinsize button with a spring on it; i had to fit a screwdriver up through a small hole under the dash to reach it.........pushed it all the way in and then the **** with the shaft pulled out!

man, i've been trying to figure this thing out for quite some time, i've even had other people try to figure it out. guess i should have took more time to look into it.

thanks for all the suggestions and replys guys you really helped me narrow it down.
