Cable Driven VSS Buffer With Digital Gauges
With an intellitronix digital gauge set, how is this going to work since a cable driven speedo pulses an optical VSS to supply the ECM with a MPH reading?
Do I remove the speedo faceplate while leaving the speedometer head still behind the digital PCB to pulse the VSS? Does the speedo sensor that goes between the cable at the trans to give the gauge a reading also send a signal to the ECM? Do I need to buy some kind of converter box that the speedo cable goes into and converts the pulse signal for the ECM?
Really need to figure this out. I would prefer to keep my cruise control and NOT have a constant check engine light.
