Very pleased with Hawk's 10:1 remanufactured steering box
I bought this box from Hawk's to replace my sloppy and leaky parts store special steering box. So far I'm pretty impressed with it. The 10:1 ratio is QUICK. Much quicker than I expected, but I like it. And it's nice and tight with no dead spot. The box is a bit pricey at $338 minus a $50 core, but keep in mind that a Lee box is $600+ and the Hawk's steering box starts to look like a pretty good deal. I spoke with a sales rep at Hawk's and he told me that they reman them in house. I'm getting tired of replacing steering boxes, but I'm hopeful that this was that last time I have to do it.

What is the effort like on it? I noticed hawks doesn't list the effort rating or T-bar diameter. I don't know if your paperwork when you got the gear box has this info. I've been looking for a less than $400 dollar gearbox with effort rating of 24-30 inlb or a T-bar great than 0.200
