What Year Kenwood?
I was working on my '85 Trans Am and had to remove the dash pad and a speaker. I had always thought that the speakers were the original equipment. When I lifted one of the 4x6 units up, I was surprised to see it was a Kenwood KFC-467C model. I did some web searching but had no luck in finding out the vintage of these units. Do any of you car audiophiles know the time frame when these would have been available? They still work fine and were probably a good low dollar replacement for the originals. They are only 45 watt speakers which is just fine for me. I'm thinking that they may have been out about the 1992-1995 period, but I'm sure one of you out there knows.

Box looks like the ones that were at BestBuy when I worked there around 2000, so that'd be my guess.

Re: What Year Kenwood?
Thank you so much! That helps out a lot. They look to be about that old, but then I say that from just seeing the condition of them. They sound great with the recently installed Pioneer DEH-150MP head unit. There is a lot of talk here about finding and restoring original Delco head units, but I agree that nothing sounds as good as new technology.
