Glass Window Top Sizes

ok - i know there's a million threads on if a glass top works and people having trouble with them, But i can't seem to find any information about the top glass sizes. EZ-On offers a style A and Style B glass window top. style A has a 45" rear window, and Style B has a 42.5" rear window. Measuring my cars factory plastic window comes in at 45" so i would assume style A would be what i choose.

this is where i become a smidge confused. i don't believe any one ever mentions whether they have the 45" or 42.5" rear window and as my car has the rear seat belt pillars i am concerned with it fitting and actually folding properly because of that. logically i would figure i would want the smaller window so it would offer less potential for hanging up, but not always the best assumption.

so would those who have a rear glass window installed and functioning (preferably with the rear seat belt posts) state what size rear window they went with? would rather know if it matter or not before i spend $479 on a new top to find it doesn't fit or won't go down.

Re: Glass Window Top Sizes

I think the glass is the same on both tops, Style A & B refers to sizing the canvas itself if that makes sense? I think two different frames were used

Re: Glass Window Top Sizes

Possible - but based on the picture below from Tops online it doesn't seem that way to me - seems it's measuring the window width. If it's not then on fine, but then that leaves the question of how do I know which style to buy.

Madness - you have a black Vert by chance? my family lives in Las Cruces and i was there about 2 months ago. i was driving back to my hotel from Napolitos and was sitting at a light off Lohman and saw it drive past. was wondering if they were on here. if it's your's it looked really nice as it passed under the dark canvas of night and traffic lights.

Not me I am restoring a 1991 z28 vert red. I live more up north near Santa Fe. Keep me posted I am looking to buy the same top in a month or two, saving up for the paint first.

Re: Glass Window Top Sizes

This must be something new because there was always only one size available in the glass top. I have a late 91 with a new glass top fitted a couple of years ago. I had the posts behind the rear seat and it presented a problem. I removed the posts and eventually got a set of tonneau belts and fitted them to my car. The problem with fitting was the height of the glass hitting the posts so I cant imagine that the extra width would be the problem. Someone on this site mentioned that there is a special way to fold the top that would allow the top to go all the way down. I think it had something to do with how the top went above or below the rear bow. A search would find it. Sorry I cant help with the post problem because I fixed mine in a different way. I would like to hear how you go with this problem.

Re: Glass Window Top Sizes

Bump - not that I'm ungrateful for the answers I've gotten, but any one else with experience in this? Thinking I'm going to have to install the 45" window and then mod the seat belt posts to work or remove them and come up with something creative for the back seats.
