Convertible Rear Spoiler Protector
Anyone know if there is a paint protector that goes under the front edge of the rear spoiler? I am finish assembling my convertible and ready to mount the rear spoiler, I did the convertible conversion from a wrecked donor convertible that had lots of parts missing including the rear spoiler. This one piece is the only one that I don't know where it goes, it is a flexible black plastic strip about 1-1/2" wide with a bead on one edge long enough to fit the front edge of the spoiler. Does this go there?
Thanks
Tony

Yes it does. It goes on the front lip of the deck spoiler. I replaced mine with black door sweep moulding or something like that as mine was warped from heat being on a black car. The hardware store is where I bought mine by the foot but if yours is in useable shape, use it!
Also there is no paint protector like on the tonau cover, just that rolled bead like in your picture.

It was a twisted and warped piece I was not even sure it belonged with the Camaro, I straightened it out by clamping a weight to it and let it hang for a couple weeks in hot weather.
