TPRT connection w Ostrich2

This topic may need to go to a different area, but I figured people on this forum would be most likely to have similar experience. I have a Win7 machine 64bit.
I have Ostrich 2 and TPRT which connect fine on my XP device. I have installed driver from Moates website but hardware still not found when I try to connect to emu. What else should I be doing? It says driver is installed and device is ready to use, but no connect. Help me Obi-Won-Kenobi, you're my only hope!

Have you been able to find the comm port? Does your machine recognize it- even if the software hasn't?

The WUD seems to not connect to the com port every once in a while too. And that's on Win 7 as well.

When I go to Device Manager, I can see the cable attached but it shows that the driver needs to be installed. I downloaded the driver from Moates website and installed it but no joy. However, the laptop tells me it has installed the driver and the device is now ready to use. I hit the "Connect" on TPRT and it says hardware not connected.

Did you install as administrator?

Perhaps you have either a bad driver or the machine is recognizing it but maybe the program isn't running as administrator.
