New to me '84 Camaro!
Hey guys I just registered and am now making my first post because I recently(yesterday) bought an '84 Camaro Berlinetta. I bought it from the 2nd owner who said the original owner swapped a 350 in it. The car is in beautiful shape considering the age and price internally and externally. Mechanically however there are a few problems.
Gas pedal is very very stiff, I've read that it's a throttle body problem? I'm looking to rebuild the TB and the Carb because the engine sometimes dies after a start.
The car is VERY slow, I know the berlinetta was never exactly light but I have to put my foot to the floor to get to 45 mph.
The Transmission is very Jerky when shifting.
The guy said it was a 350 from the same year(84) how can I see if the swap was done "right"
Really sorry about the length of my first post but I plan to continue to be an active member on this forum😄

Congrat's on the 'new to you' ThirdGen Berlinetta !
The first thing you should probably do is to check the rear/top drivers-side of the engine block to see if it's really a 350. There are a LOT of people out there that claim that the small block v8 under their hood is a 350 - when in fact it's just a plain-jane LG4 305.
Good luck with your Digital Camaro !!!
