Alternator help
I just picked up an 84 Z28 with a 350 small block in it. For some reason it's running of the battery when running. I pulled the alternator. Got it tested 3 times tested good, when I measure it with a multimeter while it's running I'm getting about 14.3 volts. But when I pull the positive terminal from the battery, the car dies. After driving it for about 15 minutes it'll die too because of a dead battery and I'll have to bump start it. The alternator seems to match an 88 camaro. It's my first Chevy, carbed, engine swapped. I need some help.

Re: Alternator help
when I measure it
Sounds to me like the alt isn't connected to the batt. Follow the big thick wire on the stud on the back of it and see where it goes.
