Fitment of Flowmaster American Thunder kit
Hey guys, my exhaust guy is refusing to do my car.. His priorities lay in his current project (which I understand.)
When it comes to exhaust, I'm totally useless.. I can run EMT conduit like you wouldn't believe, but when it comes to assembling large pipes.. From a box.. My brain can't handle the task, sort of like ADD, but I can do just about everything else..
My question is regarding the American Thunder exhaust kit, how is the fitment? Do any pipes require modification?
I'm not using my cat, and I've found test pipes on eBay for reasonable prices.. Anyone suggest a good one to go with?

my experience with Flowmaster is that their stuff fits almost better than the stock stuff- just get the original stuff off the car and put the Flowmaster in it's place. never done a third gen, but it took less than an hour on a 95 Z28 from the time i jacked the car up with the stock exhaust on the car and put it back down on the ground with the Flowmaster American Thunder kit in place..

Re: Fitment of Flowmaster American Thunder kit
I've honestly gotta say, I've put exhausts on thirdgens before.. And none have ever been this easy.. Mine intermediate pipe snapped off as I was removing the muffler, so it's probably best I did the job..
I've never been a fan of polished tips, but they look great, they're just sort of sticking out a little bit.. I've still got to pick up my 3" test pipe, but the finish and fitment is absolutely incredible for the price.. I've paid way more, and definitely ended up with less..
My only complaint is.. I did this on the hottest day of 2015 so far.. I still have to tack weld the joints so they don't turn... The clamps the kit comes with aren't the greatest.

Those tips are as sharp as razor blades.
