Would love a 1988 version of the Convertible Front Bow Trim Panel. You guys only have 1989, looks the same but I'm sure there's some stupid difference..

He there or Bruce....
How about the Convertible light bar again. These are VERY POPULAR & figure now would be a GREAT time to produce some more. I would think they would presell out quickly.

Definitely the Light Bar for 3rd Gens! I did email Hawks and they said they would need a group order of 10 before they could produce them again :/

Start a thread & I know there are at least 30 people who want the light bar. I told Bruce I would order 10 myself to call his bluff a year ago. Call Hawk's & talk with Bruce & verify this is 100% true. I personally think he'd have people lining up 30 deep for a light bar. If he wants a preorder & HAWK'S IS SERIOUS te) him you will get the 10 people + & get a FIRM commitment from them!

Re: HAWKS THIRD GEN GROUP PURCHASES!!
If you get Bruce Hawkins to commit to this on those thread! I WILL COMMIT TO ALL 10. I went to visit his place in Easley, since my wife is from Easley & grew up 3 minutes from his old location. I was willing to give him cash for 10 light bars the day I showed up in Easley to put my money where my mouth was. Not only was I not able to speak to anyone who could help, I was limited to the front showroom as insurance does not allow customers to see any part of the operation.
Bruce had plenty of advanced notice I was coming & the date. I sent a follow up email, nothing. I posted on their Facebook page, got a call from Steve telling me that is not how they work &he was sorry and would hook me up on my next purchase but also how they were woking on the light bar at that time (5 years now). Qhwn I called Steve directly to buy some parts.....he forgot who I was and said "we can offer 10% on a few items". So I will BUY ALL 10 of Bruce Hawkins commits. Until then, I bought the parts (needed carpet) from another supplier for way less than 10% off. So between, Bruce and Steve and the business: I'm putting money where my mouth is. I own 3 convertibles & know 2 other guys wanting them. I'll buy all 10 just to get the ball rolling!
Next step!

Re: HAWKS THIRD GEN GROUP PURCHASES!!
correct me if I'm wrong but Bruce runs an ONLINE business. I don't think he has a store front with a counter and cash register and he probably doesn't want people showing up demanding 10 light bars and waving money around when they could just put in an online order for 10 light bars like his business is set up for. It's like going to an amazon.com warehouse expecting to purchase something, the business works by you ordering online.
I get the cool factor of going and seeing a good business that specializes in these cars but at the end of the day you can't hate on the guy for not allowing you to walk through his shop and warehouse. I doubt he want's one of his employees to stop working just to give you a tour of how his business is run when in reality, a customer that's buying parts really only needs to see his online store.. If they were doing work on one of your cars then sure you could stop by and see how it's going.

Bruce does have a store front. He does the majority of his sells online, but he still has a store front for walk in business. I visit there often. I usually make a parts list and go pick them up. Hawks is about 2.5 hours away and I enjoy driving there for the heck of it. His retail location is mostly warehouse as the tuning and installation is at another location. In most cases, they usually have all the parts in stock that I go there for. There are a few parts that are drop shipped from the manufacturer. His showroom usually has one of their completed build projects on display as well as a 89 Iroc 1LE with 12k miles. He also has a LB9 crate motor for an R7U car in the showroom. Many of their new items are on display as well.

to respond to the post above yours: this was not a surprise visit. I had talked quite a bit about coming & asking specifically if they could be manufactured again. The price of the light bars was going to be much higher but they weren't going to resource from the same company again. The young lady at the front desk was new & the response I got later via a phone call said this was just a communication error of the receptionist. There is a big showroom at the new location (not that new anymore) & walk-ins are welcomed.
I've been told fir years "a pre-order of at least 10 & we can see what we can do". At this point I don't think the light bars are on the horizon but Hawks has come put with some nice offerings unique to Hawks.
if I knew who made the first run of bars I would contact them directly and commission 10 bars. Anyone know who this was?
