Firebird 140mph speedo for sale
I have a 140 speedometer for a Firebird,not sure what year came off. with approx 118,000 miles on the display, do not have any use for it. Best offer takes it.Located in central NY.

Birds went electric in 85, iirc. So all the "new" style will be electric.

My TA is a 85 and its cable driven speedo they went electric in 86.... im lookin for a 82-84 140mph Speedo there mechanical and will work in my 85's cluster im not tryin to go electric yet just want to know how fast im goin after 85mph that my stock one shows

I knew it was 85 or 86. Wasn't 100% 4 sure. Did the 140 come out in 86 or 87 with the 350?

Im not 100% on 86 but I know 87 had it for sure 305 and 350 cars but there electric im lookin for a 140mph out of a 82-84 from what iv read on here and people have told me the Speedo should swap right over it will just look a lil diffrent cuz in 85 they changed the gauge faces to a diffrent pattern but im not worried about that as long as it reads right I plan on goin digi are to a 4th gen set up but for now just want to see how fast im really goin

Im wondering cuz iv heard of people putting overlays and recalibrate older speedos so it reads right and are mechanical

No,that's not a 86,86"s would also have the nos.5 and 7 on the RPM Tach.

It looks like its newwer ta Speedo judging by the cross grid pattern on it the older ones are strait black no pattern

And I dont know about the tach even my 85ta gos to 7k maybe 7.5k I just know its higher then 6 **** my carbed 350 can rev over 6k... I actually have a video of me revving it up to 6.5k cuz my buddie (who drives hondas that rev over 8k to 9k) Didnt think it could rev over 6k but know he's a believer lol.... point being I dont know what year the 6k tachs were used but seams like it would be higher then mine if newer then my 85ta but im not sure because I know that newer ones also had Speedos that read 120mph as well as 140 maybe its a 120 cluster with a 140 Speedo.... just a theory
