Yeah, this weekend. Who is up for meeting somewhere and getting some grub? Preferably in the evening since turkey run is in the day time.

Whats the price tag? Hopefully soon I can get it fixed dealing with a hand injury so everything been hard lately. Also feels like the steering column is loose. So before headers. Steering fix whatever it may be, calipers and cylinders, then headers along with fuel issue.Which could be a few things. Atleast I can say. My car Is loving the cold as much as I am.

Maybe, my car is really testing me. I've got a weird no start issue now, it started today, yesterday, and every day before. But now you turn the key nothing happens, but everything works, and all the voltages have tested fine. I think it's VATS coming back to haunt me in the form of my ignition cylinder. My signal flasher is shot, I think this column is dead finally. I need to swap in the new one I got.

If we're gonna do a meet in Daytona I'm gonna be in the 4Runner, I don't trust the car to make that trip.

Those are some fine cars.

Got the car running, battery was just way dead from sitting so long. I'm thinking my alt may be on its way out though.

Talk about a easy fix. I thought you got that alt not that long ago?

Yeah he did, it was previously on my car, but my car was never driven after I put it on, so it was practically brand new

Yeah, that's why I wasn't looking at the alt initially. I'm gonna rewire the charging wires, and make sure everything is tight, the car was sitting for a month since I didn't have the money for tires.

I don't think it's the alt being bad, I think my wiring is just *** so I need to redo it. At any rate the battery is dead again today after driving it, but AZ didn't carry the gauge wire I need to rewire everything. I'm about ready to just yank the whole setup and rewire the whole car for a LS1.

I really want to take the car around the east coast next year, but at this rate it's never going to make it out of my driveway.

Went to my parts guy and bought a barely used aluminum radiator, fan and shroud, and taillight wire harness. $60. Car should be ready Friday for the run.

I'm gonna be going with a different exhaust setup so I'll be selling my complete package if anyone would be interested. Don't wanna split up since it's all custom.

Hooker longtube 2210 headers to an X pipe to 2 SLP Loudmouth 1 mufflers.

How much? That will clear better than what I have and will be quieter.

Also, UPAP is 50% off tomorrow and there are like 6 or 7 third gens there. I'm hoping to find a T5.

Yup, there was a LT1 4th gen with the motor/trans in it, but it was an auto car. I bought a sport hood for my truck at LKQ, but its got a small enough bend to not be fixable.

I saw probably 10-15 third gens. I was parked at the entrance on the opposite side of the stands.

Did you go today? I was there parked in the west lot. A bunch of third gens but a lot were wayyyyy over priced.

So, I need to choose a color to paint my car in a couple weeks. I'm thinking silver, or the same color. What do you guys think?

Do you have a tilt column? It's a pain in the *** to fix, but you can. I've done it like 4 times and bought a non-tilt because I don't want to do it a 5th. If you want long tubes, I'm gonna be selling mine soon enough. Hell, my whole setup will be up for sale this weekend.

I might have a c-clip for those too. Since I'll be scooping up L98s exhaust setup I'll have mine for sale if anybody is interested. Headman long tubes, 2.5" pipe to 3" Dynamax Bullets.

You can rent the puller from AZ. It's a pain in the *** but not very difficult.

a steering wheel puller? you don't need one. take the cover off, back the 3/4 nut off until its flush with the end of the shaft. with your knees and 1 arm pull up on the wheel, and whack the nut/stud with a hammer.

Is that to like seat it back into place? Then tighten back down?

When you put it back on you gotta get in on the the splines, then just use the nut to seat it all the way.

Got the longtube setup all off, and a stock setup on.

I'm down for another meet also. I'm on the serious lookout for a shorty header and Y pipe setup.

Re: Official Tampa, FL Area Thread

Any suggestions for heads? As much as I want new aluminum heads I can't afford them any time soon. Should I just buy Vette 113 alum heads? Or get some decent GM iron head? I don't need to make absurd power, I just want my car to run right. I have a set o Scorpion 1.5 RRs with pushrods and new lifters, so I just need something with valves in it.

The prob still there.....the hammer trick didn't work...almost feels worse imo. You can get them bro, i have other probs i have to fix before i can think about headers.

If you can find a reasonably priced set of the 113s I'd get them. The 083 heads aren't bad either. I actually have a set of TBI 350 heads you can have but they will need a rebuild for sure. Tried cleaning them up but got them rusty from sitting since I used the vortecs. Not cracked or anything.
