3rd gen suspension vs 4th gen v6 suspension
Hi guys I'm new to this forum. I'm a proud owner of a 92 camaro rs, 350 5 spd. I just got a set of c5 wagon wheels. I know I need 2in spacers to run them under my car now. But could I swap front and rear suspension brakes and other parts as needed from a 95 4th gen with a 3.8l v6. My question is are the 4th gen parts strong enough?

The reason I'm asking is couse I found a 96 v6 for not much more the the wheel spacers.

Only thing that will swap is the rear. The front is a completely different design and not compatable. Can't tell u the rears strength but it's prob a 10 bolt without posi being a V6 car. If yours is an original V8 car u might have the 9bolt or a 10 bolt posi.

Thanks. My car was originally a 305 v8 5spd. So I would be better off with just getting the spacers then. What can I do for the front not to run spacers?

U still need to verify it has a posi.
Nothing u can do on the front. I run spacers /adapters and while $100 for a pair isn't exactly cheap they are made in the USA. Cheaper Chinese adapters are even cheaper at $100 for 4.

Ok thanks. My rear has 3:73 richmond gears and a posi unit from an 87 I-rock rear. It is a 10 bolt rear

Re: 3rd gen suspension vs 4th gen v6 suspension
No, but I run much bigger rims/tires than stock. Currently it was 17x9 with 274/40-17 tires with 1.5 and 1.25" adapters. My rims are ford bolt pattern. I got alittle rubbing on the inner plastic wheel well as well as on the inside bottom back fender. It could be how far I have the wheels pushed out or that the car was in an accident twice on that same wheel and could have tweeked the subframe alittle. I did find that the Kmember locating pin tore open the subframe and moved alittle. I swapped in a aftermarket Kmember so hopefully it solved the issue. But I will see with the larger rims/tires.
Now its going to be 20x10 with 295/35-20 nitto Invos and Im going to try a .6" adapter.
