Where to get a cheap open element online?
I've been looking for an open element online, but can't seem to find one. I was hoping someone here would be able to tell me where to get one cheap or post a link? Thanks

I picked up a cheap one. They not only cheap, they're are light as well.
My advise, look for a nice one instead. Spun aluminum or something chevy branded if you're looking for a Camaro (edit, just read it's for a T/A. Forget about the chevy branded aircleaner). It's one of the first things people (and you) will notice as soon as the hood opens.

I'll give you cheap, I MADE mine out of 2 lids for only 5 bucks. The local autoshops here only sell the drop base cleaners and I wanted a non drop base. So my solution was to take the stock lid, flip it over and use the gold spacer ring as a template. cut out the hole and had to make a small dent in it so the throttle bracket would clear and I was golden. I got a stock 5.0 HO lid from a friend and cut it down and it made the perfect top. Check my Cardomain for pics of it.

I ended up getting this Open Element http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ht_3655wt_1165. Will I be able to tell a difference in hp or sound? What does it add like 5 hp?
