The car is an 88 L98 irocz. The problem, Gas smell and poor mileage. Just last week i was sitting in traffic and smelled gas. It now comes and goes half tank full tank whatever. Also I used to have pressure or the wooosh when opening the cap. last 4 fill ups nothing no pressure not at all. smell seems to come from right rear of car, car has no rust anywhere. Things ive checked, filler neck, tank for holes or in line's. also there has been no hack job done to get pump out, think its still the orignal pump. car has 46k on it and ive owned it for three years. How do i know if the vent and canister are good? or what else should i check. Any Advice would be greatly apreciated! out of ideas? Thanks, Jason Ps. i searched this alot with no avail.

Just wondering how to tell if the vent valve is bad like seen in other threads. ccp loks good and is light thanks again.
