30 lb injectors in 350 can it be done
Hey fellow camaro enthusiasts, I have an 86 camaro I recently rebuilt 350 with 40 over bore, stage to cam vortec heads 202 I was using my old injectors from the 305, three were bad I thought I purchased 26 lb accel injectors but got the 30 lbs insted. Is there a way to tune it and make them work. My thoughts are running better ignition with higher firing spark as well as a manual fuel pressure regulator and gauge not sure what else I can do. Any suggestions?

Any time you change injector size, plan on re-tuning the car via a chip change.

on the chip, there's a setting for injector size. the engine computer uses that value to determine injector pulse. so, you need to have that value on the chip re-programmed to the new injector size, so the computer knows what to do.

As said it's easy to tune, just literally 1 parameter if you don't want to take the time to do a full proper tune. I'm running 30lb on my 305.
FYI, never, ever, change your fuel pressure using the adjustable regulator, PERIOD. The injectors are designed and built to run at a spec'd pressure. All changes should be made in the chip. Anything less is total slap dick.
Use the gauge and AFPR to be sure it's flowing at the spec'd stock pressure at idle and under throttle, no other ****ery!
